What we do in Spain
VIS Foundation is a legally recognized foundation registered in the Spanish National Registry of Foundations. It was born in 2013 as the VIS Spain Association and became a Foundation in 2018. In Spain our organization develops social projects in shelters for minors, centers for the sick, soup kitchens or free health care services.
In addition, from Spain we collaborate intensively with several of the international centers that VIS Foundation owns, manages or supports in the poorest countries of the world, particularly in several African countries such as Tanzania, Rwanda, Kenya, Madagascar, Uganda, Cameroon and Nigeria . Hospitals, schools, orphanages or women's aid centers are some of the sectors in which we help communities to prosper and attend to their most immediate needs for food, education or health care.
THESE ARE SOME OF THE PROJECTS WE HAVE IN SPAIN
Emmanuel Children's Residence
A hosting center for children and adolescents in which they are provided with complete accommodation, personalized attention, help for their studies, and everything necessary so that they can develop their childhood with the normality to which every child has the right.
San José de la Montaña home
We have been helping for several years both with volunteers and financial aid to this center in Barcelona that welcomes 60 orphaned boys and girls or those from environments of exclusion or social risk.
Social dining rooms Madrid
We have signed an agreement with the Francisco de Vitoria University for young university students to do social service through our organization in the Missionaries of Charity centers in the Spanish capital.
AIDS care centers
Our groups of volunteers collaborate in the care and accompaniment of AIDS patients, usually from environments of social abandonment or drug addiction.
